Going on with my autumnal streak, here are twelve colours I am playing with this year. The foliage colours are not as bright as we know they can be, because the trees got too hot and too dry for a long periods of time and they’re a bit stressed up as a result. Their leaves are quickly turning to dark muted reds and browns rather than lighter, brighter hues. So I chose a pale and a darker golden yellows, a crimson, three Perylenes, a non-granulating violet-biased blue, a muted green, a golden green, a russet brown, a still russety but more muted brown and a down to Earth greeny brown.

Here is a video in which I show you these colours properly:
If you have some favourite colours this autumn, let us know in the comments 🙂
I posted a downloadable PDF on my subscription Patreon site to add to the Atelier Sandrine Maugy course folder.
And if you like the painting Acer Sky at the top of this post, you can visit the West Dean Gardens Shop. They just produced a range of goodies such as notebooks, pens and tote bags featuring it for their Autumn collection.

Happy painting!
