Hello!
I hope everyone is having a lovely week-end. The weather is dull and coldish here, so I am spending my week-end working away and I’ll take a day off when the sun is shining…
I just uploaded a video on YouTube about painting yellow flowers. I know they can be troublesome but there are some things you can do to keep the luminosity and freshness of the yellow hue. Some tips you might know already but hopefully some will surprise you and you’ll be able to improve your yellow blooms after watching the video.
I went through the twelve tips not in any particular importance order, but in categories: tone, colour and technique. And then there is a swan at the end, making funny noises, and that’s always worth watching 🙂
I am also rather pleased that I managed to add a watermark to all my videos. This is something I have wanted to do for a while but I was put off by the potential technicality. Yesterday I decided to go for it and I was all aglow with my success! When I saw it on screen I was so proud you’d think I had won a gold medal at the Olympics or something… It’s only a tiny circle in the bottom right hand side corner that most people are not even going to notice 😀
I hope you enjoy the video and that it will be helpful… If you like my videos, you can check out my Patreon site. There are a lot of video tutorials on there, as well as downloadable PDF tutorials, and everything for the time being is ad-free. For the price of a cup of coffee a month, you can have access to hours of video tutorials and printable PDF tutorials to build your course folder 🙂
Happy painting!
