12 tips for painting vibrant yellow flowers – Downloadable PDF in my Etsy shop (and other blackbird news)

Hi everyone,

I made a PDF to go with the video I uploaded a few days ago. If you are collecting my PDF tutorials to print them and build the course folder, you might want to get this one. Please click here for the link.

If you are a Patreon subscriber on the Lavender level, the PDF is waiting for you there as a bonus content. 🙂

It has been a while since I gave you news from the bird life in the garden. The blackbirds are currently stealing the show. They are behaving even more boisterously than usual, dive-bombing each other on the lawn. Yesterday one of them tried to do this in the bird bath. The result was a massive double blackbird crash, in which both got completely soaked and fell off in the sweet peas, almost emptying the bath in the process. They left in a huff in different directions, their dignity more hurt than their plumage. Mrs blackbird in the meanwhile is looking very rotund and I am wondering if she is expecting another brood. Either that or I am giving her too much banana. Every afternoon, she gets the squishy bit at the end of a banana, because it’s too mushy and I don’t like it.

I used to give that bit to Rhubarb and then Penelope, my rabbits, but now they’re both gone… So Mrs blackbird has inherited the custom. She really likes her daily banana ration, although not quite as much as the bunnies did. I don’t think anyone or anything anywhere likes bananas as much as rabbits do. They go nuts with it, it’s hilarious. Anyway, I’ll have to wait and see if more babies can be heard in the ivy nest…

The next tutorial coming up is a purple Clematis. I am really enjoying painting that one… I love purple flowers.

See you soon and happy painting!

Sandrine
