I wish you all a happy, healthy and creative 2022!
I haven’t been around here very much in the past couple of months. I was on a deadline to finish my book and the time I had away from that I pretty much devoted to Patreon and my subscribers over there. I also made a video tutorial for Fabriano, for their drawing and painting festival. It was awesome working with my favourite paper manufacturer. In fact it was so good that I am about to start a second project with them.
Over the festive period I had a nice break, that was forced on me by the fact that my laptop gave up trying to pretend that it was up to the task and it had to go to the repair shop for about ten days. It came back a few days ago, as good as new. This is a slightly sarcastic comment, as the Apple repair people completely and accidentally wiped the whole hard drive clean. Everything is gone! So the laptop does feel as good (and empty) as a new one. I had backed up my documents on an external hard drive before handing in my precious machine, so hopefully I haven’t lost anything too important, but I will only find out for sure if I need anything that I discover is not there…

In other news, there is a new downloadable PDF tutorial in my Etsy shop: conkers! Including one in its shell. You can click here to go and see it. This is tutorial number 11 in the collection. If you are a Patreon subscriber, don’t go and buy it in my Etsy shop because you are getting it for free on Patreon… I posted it and it’s waiting for you over there. I also currently have a special offer on my Patreon site, with a 50% off all my Etsy tutorials for January. This is a great opportunity to check up Patreon and complete your tutorials collection. You can click here to visit Patreon. The first level membership is only £3/month. Our next project over there is a series of paint-along video tutorials, painting a Hellebore.
See you soon and happy painting!
